🇨🇭 RADiation Effects on Components and Systems 2017

This year’s CERN edition of RADECS will take advantage of the synergies across domains as diverse as Space, Avionics, ground level and particle accelerators to offer a conference featuring a superb variety of topics. The short course entitled “From Space to Ground and Below” perfectly reflects the spirit and theme of this conference.  RADECS 2017 will provide a unique opportunity to combine the understanding and techniques from different fields in order to pave the way to tomorrow’s applications and challenges.  We have, therefore, introduced five new session topics to the conference this year.

The scientific programme includes a one day short course, followed by three and a half days including a data workshop, an industrial exhibition, and the following technical sessions (oral and poster):

  • Radiation Effects in Devices and ICs,
  • Basic Mechanisms of Radiation Effects
  • Radiation Hardness Assurance at Device and System Level
  • Single Event Effects in Devices and ICs
  • Radiation Environments (Space, Atmospheric, Terrestrial and Accelerators)
  • Single Event Transients and Laser testing
  • Radiation Effects in Optoelectronics and optical fibers
  • Facilities and Dosimetry
  • Hardening by Design
  • Single Event Effects Mechanisms and Modelling

And New Sessions:

  • Analog and Mixed-Signal Integrated Circuits for use in Radiation Environments
  • Radiation Effects on Materials
  • In-Orbit Low-Cost Radiation Studies (Nanosat, Stratobus …)
  • Radiation Tests and Components Qualification – Engineering Troubleshooting (Round Table)
