This first meeting was the occasion to recall the main purposes of the project, to contribute to the long term sustainability of the ILL by:
• strengthening and consolidating the interaction with the existing Associates and Scientific Members countries,
• engaging with new user communities through market and impact evaluation and the elaboration of appropriate funding models,
• providing new user services to academic and industrial users and
• implementing the changes through the review of the ILL business model.
The ongoing project recruitments have been discussed and the composition of recruitment panels were agreed on. Each work package leader has reported on status and actions for next three months, before starting a consultation regarding the project logo’s creation.
An enlarged internal ILL kick-off meeting, that will introduce the project and its activities to the entire ILL staff is due to be organised when all recruitments will be achieved.
